The Obituary:
Hilde Langhorst Luckau, 82, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on September 30, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hans Heinrich Langhorst and mother, Engel Marie Sophie Bredthauer. Her sister Marion (Stan) Conrad, and her husband Paul Fredrick Luckau of 58 years.
Hilde and Paul were married September 1, 1948. They were blessed with four children; three daughters and a son. Hilde and Paul leave a legacy of 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Hilde will be remembered for her great talents in homemaking, great cooking, her constant devotion to family, and her organ/piano playing. She also enjoyed teaching piano lessons and enjoyed dancing. Hilde was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her service in the church ranged from music to the Relief Society President.
Hilde is survived by her children: Karen Luckau, Janice (Dave) Potter, Richard (Carolyn) Luckau, and Lana Rooke. Her grandchildren: Chelsea Potter, Kenner Potter, Wes Potter, Angie (Ryan) Hill, Brian (Shaleena) Luckau, Brandon Luckau, Rachel (Seth) Watson, Emily (Will) Empey, Lindsey Luckau, Aubrey Luckau and Magan Rooke. Her great-grandchildren: Katelynn, Daniel, Trey, Taya, Megan, Woods, Mary, and Brooke. She will be missed greatly.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Bonneville 13th Ward Chapel, 1498 East 800 South, Provo. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center, Monday evening from 6 until 8, and at the church Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery. My condolences, Em. She must be so happy to be with her husband again. My grandpa has been so miserable with my grandma gone - it will be such a joyful day when he joins her in heaven.
