Update!

Today Will and I went to the dr's again and they had recieved the results from my thyroid. They found CANCER in my thyroid! So as for now we stopped my synthroid (thyroid replacement hormone). They want to decrease my levels low enough so that in 3 weeks I will recieve the radioiodine ablation. Which is a pill or liquid dose of radioactive iodine. I go in next Thursday to get my body scanned to see if it has spread, or if it was just in the thryoid! They told me with this procedure i can not be around any children for 3+ days after recieving the radioactivity. I also will not be able to have children for at least a couple years! I am just relying on the Lord and my faith that everything will be ok. I have learned to really count my blessings and love my family at my most!! I am soooo thankful for my sweet husband! He has taken such good care of me and I am so thankf ul for our sweet sweet little MIRACLE baby!! Mary makes me so happy and is such a blessing in my life!! I am soo thankful for my parents and all my family for ALL they have done to help with Mary and be my support during my surgery! Thanks again for all your prayers and thoughts- I truly appreciate them!

Emily came home today!

Emily was able to go home today. Her calcium levels were normal and her breathing has improved so they sent her home. We have to the doctor tomorrow to meet with the ENT specialist but other than some pain and swelling in the neck that makes her feel like she is either choking or suffocating she is doing very well. Once again we really appreciate your thoughts, words, and prayers.

Emily's Surgery

Emily went in for surgery around 7:00 this morning and had her gall bladder and thyroid taken out. According to the first surgeon her gall bladder went very well without any complications. The other surgeon reported that her thyroid was approximately the size of two hamburger patties side by side, when it should only be the size of two quarters side by side. It had rapped itself around her artery, throat and had even started to grow down towards her chest. He could not tell whether it was cancerous or not. As they always do, a pathologist will look at her thyroid and we should find out in 2 weeks. During her recovery she quit breathing so they are trying to keep her from being so sedated which means that she can't have as much pain medications as they would like, so she is in a lot of pain and has difficulty talking. If you had planned on visiting her she is in room 333 at EIRMC, it would probably be best to wait until Saturday afternoon as she is in a lot of pain right now and is pretty sedated. We really appreciate all the prayers and support.

eeeeeeeek.....

This is how i am feeling right about NOW! Tomorrow I am going in for surgery! They are removing my gall bladder and thyroid. I have never had surgery before and i am a SCAREDY CAT- I will be in surgery for 3 1/2 hours!

But I know that it is for the best and that I will feel MUCH better! Thanks to everyone for your kind words and prayer - I really appreciate them!

9 Months Old!

Mary will actually be 9 months on April 27- But I am having surgery on the 24th and I am not sure when I will be out of the hospital- but I wanted to show off these cute pics! We will count this as her 9 months photo shoot! We went to the river today while my friend Linsey and her little family was here visiting. I will post pictures later on that!

Mary was sick for a little bit and so i took her to the Dr for that and these were here stats:

weight: 15 pounds 14 ounces

height: 26 inches!

Such a petite girl!!

Mary is so much fun and is interacting with a lot now!! She says Momma, Dadda, Bapa ( not sure what it means-- either bottle or grandpa) she waves goodbye! and when you say "huh" to her she replies "huh" back! Its absolutely adorable! We are enjoying every minute with our sweet little girl!!!

Garden Vegetables!!!

So I think I have fed Mary too much fruity stuff because she WILL NOT eat veggies in the baby food cans! she literally gags!!!! Here is a video of me ATTEMPTING again! But i do have to say i did finally get her to eat the whole can today! ( they always say- KEEP TRYING- don't give up!) her first bite today she gagged- which she usually does three times before i GIVE UP! At the end of this video she hears my phone and it distracts her! She is so funny- She will eat real beans and peas and such but when they are pureed in a can- she GAGS! haha I am hoping to raise my children liking Veggies like me! Not hating them like their Daddy!

Mary Mary....

Here are a couple vidoes of Mary! She doesn not feel good- yesterday she had a fever all day long and today she hasn't had one as much but you can tell she doesn't feel good. When we sat down to eat some lunch at first she was pretty happy- This first video you can tell she was happy- She kept swaying back and forth and singing! I love when she does this! I think its adorable!!! The second video she had stopped eating and was not feeling so well! This is not how she acts at all normally! She usually is one to smile easy and be happy and usually LOVES graham crackers! She was NOT amused with me in this video! I couldn't help but laugh!

Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter everyone! We had a very fun day! We actually just hung out with my family after church and ate a yummy dinner! Ham, funeral potatoes, jello, etc... it was delicious! My Mom is a GREAT cook! Then we went over to Wills familys and visited! Then we went to show Wills Grandma Mary's Easter dress! It was nice to see everyone! Its tradition to get a new easter dress every Easter and so here are a few pics of Mary in her new Easter dress!!! We hope you all had a nice Easter!

Playing on the Playground!

Today Will and I went on a walk with Mary- We walked to Longfellow and played on the playground! It was so much fun and we enjoyed ourselves!!! Here are some pics of our day!

I finally got her to look at me!!! She is so much fun!

When we were walking home- and when we just had to turn the corner to our house - it started raining lightly! We made it home just in time!!

LADIES NIGHT OUT!

A bunch of the ladies in my ward went out to dinner last night at RED ROBIN! It was so fun and delicious! It was nice to get out and chat with everyone! For dinner i had the:

GUACAMOLE BACON BURGER!!!!

Homemade, zesty guacamole and three strips of hickory-smoked bacon with melted Swiss cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes & mayo.

And afterwards Karlene and I decided to share the MOUNTAIN HIGH MUDD PIE:

Their special creation of chocolate and vanilla gourmet ice cream, peanut butter cookie bits, chopped peanuts, fudge & peanut butter in a chocolate cookie crust. Served in a pool of chocolate fudge & caramel sauce topped with whipped cream, chopped peanuts & a cherry.

It was sooooooo heavenly!!! and HUGE!!! I had to take a picture of it! Karlene put her hand out for you to compare! HUGE i am telling ya!!!! I know this is a very silly post but it was my 2nd time ever going to Red Robin and I LOVE that place!! I will be going again!!

DRs DRs DRs....

oh man... what a week- First off last Thursday I had another painful episode- the 6th since Mary was born- I decided I had - had enough and had Will take me to the ER- It turns out i have several stones in my gall bladder- so i am going to need surgery to remove that! But i had an appointment today with the Ear Nose & Throat Doc today and so - my gall bladder dr wanted to wait to schedule until I had talked to the thyroid doc! I have had a problem with my thyroid since i was 16! Its very enlarged too- and has only gotten bigger! I have gotten bigger- and i have been feeling sluggier!!!! I haven't felt "great" in a long time! So i am getting my thyroid and my gall bladder out at the same time- scheduled for April 24th and i am soooo scared!!!! I have never had surgery before! They say i will be in the hospital AT LEAST 3-5 days! My thyroid is so enlarge ( and very uncomfortable! ) the part that goes across the trachea is SUPPOSED to be 2 mm and mine measure 9 mm! So my thyroid is at LEAST THREE time larger than its supposed to be! DISGUSTING!

Happy Birthday Ang!

It is my twin sisters birthday today! haha! We are actually 9 years apart! But I think my other sisters would agree that she is the best oldest sister ever! I have so much fun with her. When we were growing up we always would share birthday parties- we would decide together what to have for birthday dinner and cake and so on... We were talking the other day about how we miss those days! Angie is such a great example and i have ALWAYS looked up to her! She has taught me so many things and especially about patience! SHe is so patient and loving! I guess she had to to survive 6 younger siblings! Well Ang i hope you have a great day and I love you very much!!! Happy Birthday!

OBSESSION!!!!

Will and I seriously can NOT get enough of this place! We are there about every other day!! It is sooooooo delicious! If you haven't tried this go FOR SURE! We highly recommend it! It is really neat to watch them make ice cream right in fromt of your eyes! Little ones enjoy watching it! My niece Taya was totally enthralled!! Mary LOVES to share with Daddy too! Its too important for Mommy to share! haha ;)

The ice cream starts out in a liquid form. After choosing how dense you want your cream (low-fat or regular) and any combination of flavors and mix-ins you want added, they freeze your ice cream in just a matter of seconds using liquid nitrogen.
