Now that I am getting back to the routine of work and school I wish I could have that last week back. As Emily's post previously mentioned, I will be moving to California for the summer. I am really going to miss them, but I will just need to remind myself that I had down there for them. The idea of leaving them for 3 months is only made easier knowing that they will be well taken care of by our families.
Too often we neglect to tell those closest to us how much we love them and how much they mean to us. Well, I most certain fail to let them both know how much I love them, and how greatly they bless my life.
Mary is my "sweet little heart" as I call her. She is very smart, and very stubborn. (She gets that from her Mother) She keeps me on my toes and teaches some of the most important things someone can learn in this life. I love watching her play by herself in her room. She has such an imagination and I love watching her. I got sick of watching Barney, Dora, Sid the Science Kid, Curious George, etc... so I tried to convince Mary to watch a show I wanted. I could not convince her so I just took over the tv. She went to her and played and came back out a little later and asked me what I was watching. At that moment someone was riding a horse. She left the room and I didn't think anything about it. About a week later Mary was being stubborn about going to bed, and like I said she is very smart. She quietly snuck into my room and asked if she could lay down and watch "horses" with me. She was asleep about 10 minutes into the movie. I already know that she has me wrapped around her little finger, and that I am going to be one of those overprotective fathers who says to guy asking me if he can marry her, "What the Hell do you want?"
Emily is superwoman. She takes on so much to help our family and help support me as I go to school. She is a wonderful mother whose sole priority is our little girl. She works hard babysitting, selling Miche, Scentsy, and her bows. Doing all of this while making our home somewhere I love to be, even to the point where I hate going anywhere else! When I had my knee surgery last December she took care of me for two weeks. I couldn't really walk or do much so she did it all. She made sure I took my meds, changed the ice on my knee every four hours, and was constantly watching over me. I am amazed at her ability to do all she does (babysit 1-3 kids+Mary, keep our home clean, cook meals, keep her 3 businesses going and profitable, handle two church callings, and deal with me. Which I am sure is the hardest thing of all.) She is very supportive of me and our family.
I have been greatly blessed with two wonderful women in my life. A loving, hardworking, patient, selfless wife. And a cute, stubborn, happy, sweet little heart. They are the joy of my life and are constant reminders that my Father in Heaven loves me and wants me to be happy.
